Periodic Updates on the Grains, Livestock Futures Markets
OMAHA (DTN) -- December corn is up 1 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 1/2 cent, September KC wheat is up 17 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 11 1/2 cents and September MIAX wheat is up 13 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 88.42 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.400 and September crude oil is up $0.68 per barrel. December gold is up $96.30 per ounce. Heading for the Friday finish, corn and beans are just slightly in the black while wheat is maintaining solid gains along with bean oil. The forecast looks wet for the central and eastern Midwest over the next 10 days with the lion's share of heavy rain likely to fall in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and into the Ohio Valley. Too much rain has fallen in parts of Illinois and Missouri and the western Plains are too dry.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 109.04 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.320 and September crude oil is up $1.03 per barrel. December gold is up $107.60 per ounce. At midmorning, wheat and soybean oil are extending gains, while corn and beans remain moderately higher in slow trade. Crude oil is up over $1 per barrel as no news on a peace deal has been announced yet.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 25.91 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.440 and September crude oil is down $0.35 per barrel. December gold is up $117.70 per ounce. USDA: private exporters reported the following sales activity: 238,000 mt (8.7 mb)of soybeans to China for 2026/2027 and 286,097 mt (11.3 mb) of corn to Mexico. Of the total, 29,808 mt (1.2 mb) is for 2026/2027 and 256,289 mt (10.1 mb) is for the 2027/2028 marketing year. Grain and soy markets are all higher to start Friday with wheat leading the way.
LivestockPosted 11:33 -- October live cattle are down $1.48 at $223.45, September feeder cattle are up $0.25 at $341.825, October lean hogs are up $0.48 at $82.2, December corn is up 2 1/2 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down $2.10. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 31.78 points and NASDAQ is up 245.57 points. A few clean-up sales have been noted in Kansas at $235, but it's looking like the bulk of this week's cash cattle trade is done with. For the most part, Northern dressed cattle have been marked at $370, which is $3.00 higher than last week's weighted average, but a few sales have been as high as $372. Southern live cattle have traded at mostly $235, which is $2.00 higher than last week's weighted average, but a few sales in Iowa were marked as high as $238 to $240.
Posted 08:33 -- October live cattle are up $1.08 at $226., September feeder cattle are up $2.20 at $343.775, October lean hogs are down $0.03 at $81.7, December corn is up 3 1/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down $0.30. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 69.01 points and NASDAQ is up 205.10 points. No bids are on the table right now in the fed cash cattle market, and it's likely that the bulk of this week's trade is done with. For the most part, Northern dressed cattle have been marked at $370, which is $3.00 higher than last week's weighted average, but a few sales have been as high as $372. Southern live cattle have traded at mostly $235, which is $2.00 higher than last week's weighted average, but a few sales in Iowa were marked as high as $238 to $240.
