Commodities Market Impact Weather
Wintry Midwest Pattern
OMAHA (DTN) -- Winter-like conditions in the Midwest, and additional favorable rainfall for Brazil's crop areas, are the key weather items for the commodity trade's attention Thursday.
MIDWEST WINTER CONDITIONS
The DTN ag weather forecast calls for a winter-like storm system to bring ice, snow, and harvest disruption to the eastern Midwest through Friday.
In the western Midwest, drier conditions and more variable temperatures will favor the remaining harvest.

DRIER SOUTHERN PLAINS TREND
Southern Plains areas will be drier over the balance of the week. This pattern will favor additional row crop harvest and winter wheat development. Soil moisture is adequate for developing wheat.
BENEFICIAL BRAZIL PATTERN
Brazil crop areas again have favorable conditions for developing soybeans.
HEAVY RAIN EASES IN ARGENTINA
In central Argentina, recent heavy rains are disruptive to corn and soybean planting and may force some replanting. Winter wheat harvest has also been affected. The next week features lighter precipitation, which may allow for some progress in wheat harvest and row crop planting.
