Garlicky Sesame Green Beans
Soy sauce packs big flavor in this quick veggie side.
TOTAL TIME: 15 Minutes
MAKES: 4 servings
INGREDIENTS:
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 (16-ounce) bag fresh green beans, trimmed
8-10 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon honey
PREPARATION AND COOKING:
1. Heat vegetable oil in a large nonstick or stainless steel skillet over high heat. Add green beans; saute 7 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beans start to blister.
2. Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic; stir well. Add soy sauce, sesame oil and honey. Cook 2 minutes, tossing to coat beans in glaze.
3. Remove from heat; serve warm. Garnish with sesame seeds or a drizzle of chili oil, if desired.
