NEW HOLLAND'S GUARDIAN SPRAYER WINS AT AGRISHOW
New Holland has won Machine of the Year Brazil 2024-25 in the Spraying Machines category with its Guardian SP310F sprayer launched during Agrishow 2024, the largest agricultural fair in Latin America.
The Guardian previously earned a 2023 AE50 award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) in the United States.
Designed to cover large areas of crops, the Guardian SP310F has a front spray boom width of 36.6 meters or 40.2 meters (120 feet or nearly 132 feet).
The Guardian SP310F includes the IntelliView 12 monitor, and the connectivity of the machine enables better fleet management by way of the FieldOps customer portal. In addition, the sprayer can be monitored by IntelliCentre, a center with specialists focused on increasing machine availability in the field.
The Guardian's compressed air system, coupled with its spraying system, allows all liquid inside the pipe to be eliminated. Variable boom clearance from 1.83 meters to 1.98 meters (6 feet to nearly 6.5 feet) also allows for late applications on maize without damaging the crop. Its stainless-steel tank has a capacity of 4,500 liters (1,188 gallons).
The IntelliHeight XRT height control, with seven sensors for stability, gives the Guardian the ability to follow the ground surface. IntelliSpray II nozzle-to-nozzle control offers precision delivery at the ideal droplet size and correct dose.

AGCO AGRICULTURE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS FARMER MENTAL HEALTH
The AGCO Agriculture Foundation has announced a partnership with The Do More Agriculture Foundation, committing $150,000 for three years to support U.S. and Canadian farming communities, with an emphasis on connecting farmers to mental health resources.
"By growing the farmer mental health initiative to the U.S. and Canada, we hope to further address the growing mental health crisis among farmers and provide them with the assurance that help is available," said Roger Batkin, chair of the AGCO Agriculture Foundation.
Through this partnership, the AGCO Agriculture Foundation is the presenting sponsor for the #TalkItOut video series, which aims to foster open discussions on mental health issues. The partnership will also lead to creation of co-branded mental health support stickers equipped with QR codes to instantly link farmers to local mental health resources.
