NEW JCB FASTRAC SPEEDS INTO VIEW

JCB has launched an all-new series of its Fastrac high-speed tractor. Available first in Europe, it will be coming to North America in the second quarter of 2026.

There are two models of the new Fastrac with selectable two- and multi-mode four-wheel steering as standard. The new Fastrac 6260 operates with 284 horsepower. The 6300 offers 335 hp. The tractors have a top speed of 41 mph.

Here are some features:

-- Fully integrated tire inflation management system.

-- Satellite guidance with two receivers for quicker and more precise line acquisition, more accurate tracking over an undulating field surface and enabling Twin Steer ultra-precision guidance that steers both axles.

-- Fastrac 6000 Series tractors comprise a cast front section supporting the engine, front axle and optional front linkage and PTO, and a steel-fabricated structure carrying the cab, transmission, rear axle and lift linkage, hydraulics and PTO.

-- The 6.7-liter FPT NEF67 six-cylinder diesel engine delivers peak power at 1,850 rpm alongside a torque curve that rises as the revs are pulled down under a heavy load to peak at 1,400 rpm, generating 940.4 foot-pounds of torque for the Fastrac 6260 and 1,032.6 foot-pounds for the 6300.

-- Max hydraulic pump output is 54 gallons per minute (gpm) as standard. The Fastrac 6300 has optionally available a 106-gpm twin pump installation.

-- An optional 11,023-pound lift front linkage is complemented by a 1,000-rpm power take-off with a new six-spline and 21-spline shaft, reversible just by removing a circlip.

-- The Fastrac 6000's 11,023-pound capacity rear-load deck provides a third mounting location for equipment such as a sprayer or a liquid supply tank.

-- The Fastrac's self-leveling suspension at both axles enables the tractor to achieve maximum traction with minimal ballast by shifting forward the weight of a mounted implement, such as a plow or cultivator.

-- There are two enhancements on the Fastrac 6000 Series brakes. First is a brake pad wear indicator to avoid the risk of worn pads going undetected and the discs becoming damaged. Second, the discs are attached to (rather than behind) the reduction hubs, so there is no need to remove the hub to replace them.

-- An enhanced version of JCB's four-wheel steering system has hydraulic rather than mechanical locking for smoother transitions between two-wheel and four-wheel steering.

-- The new Fastrac incorporates LED work lights into the front and rear roof panel, supplementing those set into the engine hood grille and mounted on the cab "A" post for 360-degree illumination.

-- Contributing to the operator's all-round view is a standard-fit trailer hitch camera and a new digital camera combination option comprising a front-mounted 180-degree fisheye lens to help when emerging from a field onto a road, and a 120-degree camera at the back of the tractor.

PTX TRIMBLE SHOWS OFF OUTRUN'S AUTONOMOUS FERTILIZER APPLICATION

AGCO Corp. showcased some of the most innovative precision agriculture technology during its annual Tech Day in Markt Indersdorf, Germany.

Of the technologies shown, one was an autonomous fertilizer solution.

AGCO already is showing to North American farmers its PTx Trimble OutRun autonomous grain cart and tillage retrofit technologies (the grain cart, grain handling solution is currently in production).

At the event in Germany, AGCO also demonstrated an autonomous fertilizer application with its Fendt 900 Vario tractor -- a third autonomous solution rising from its OutRun technology.

AGCO PTx Trimble's OutRun autonomous retrofit kits are available for both Fendt and competitive equipment. AGCO say these OutRun offerings, now three, illustrate its progress toward its goal to deliver autonomous solutions for the entire crop cycle by 2030.

JOHN DEERE INTROS ALL-ELECTRIC GATOR GX AND GX CREW UTILITY

John Deere announced last week that it is expanding its iconic Gator utility vehicle lineup with the introduction of the all-electric two-seat Gator GX (beginning at $17,499) and four-passenger GX Crew (beginning at $19,499).

Deere is positioning the lithium-ion-powered Gator GX and GX Crew utility vehicles for almost any of its markets, including rural property owners and farmers -- especially livestock producers whose animal operations would benefit from the use of ultra-quiet machines.

"The Gator GX lineup offers property owners the opportunity to increase productivity around their properties with less noise, less maintenance and more versatility," said Eric Halfman, John Deere go-to-market manager.

Here are some of the Gator GX and GX Crew features:

-- A 51V lithium-ion battery delivers instant torque and smooth acceleration. The battery is designed to last a full workday, depending on type and time of use. Deere includes a charger and charging cord with the Gator GX lineup. Typical charging time would be overnight using a standard 120-volt outlet, Deere said.

-- High-back ergonomic seating and canopy protection.

-- Both models include multiple cargo and storage areas and offer attachments like a lighting kit and a JDLink M modem for connectivity and fleet management.

-- The GX Crew allows operators to seamlessly transition between moving four passengers to moving materials. The rear seat folds to provide a platform to haul 250 lbs. of materials. The platform measures 41.5 inches wide and 42 inches long.

-- Both models are available in John Deere Green and Yellow or Grey Metallic.
