US Tractor, Combine Sales Down Sharply Again in March
The sharp dip in U.S. tractor and combine sales continued in March, with total farm tractor sales down 13.6% last month compared to March 2024. The number comes from the March 2025 Ag Tractor and Combine Report, which is produced monthly by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).
The all-tractor figure includes sales of two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive tractors. Sales of two-wheel-drive tractors declined 13.5% in March compared to March 2024. Within that group, sales of more farm-ready 100-plus-horsepower tractors were down 18.6% last month compared to March last year.
Sales of four-wheel-drive units were down 19.7% in March 2025 compared to March 2024.

For the first three months of this year, sales of all tractors are down 15.1%
Combine sales were also off sharply in March, according to the AEM report.
Manufacturers reported 241 combine sales in March 2025 compared to 387 sold in March last year. Year to year, the difference is down 37.7%.
For the first three months of this year, combine sales are down 56.5% compared to the first three months of 2024.
