DTN Daily Basis Comments

DAILY BASIS AND CASH INDEX SUMMARY:

The national average basis for corn was 1 cent weaker at 74 cents over the September futures contract while the DTN National Corn Index was up 16 cents at $6.46. The national average basis for soybeans was 2 cents weaker at 43 cents over the November futures contract while the DTN National Soybean Index was up 14 cents at $14.31. The national average basis for HRW wheat was unchanged at 18 cents under the September futures contract while the DTN National Hard Red Winter Wheat Index was up 9 cents at $6.43. The national average basis for HRS wheat was 2 cents stronger at 20 cents under the September futures contract while the DTN National Hard Red Spring Wheat Index was down 5 cents at $8.96.

The national average corn basis for Tuesday is at 72 cents over the September futures 1 cent weaker than Monday's basis.

SOYBEAN:

The national average soybean basis for Tuesday is at 43 cents over the November futures, 2 cents weaker than Monday's basis.

SOFT RED WINTER WHEAT:

The national average SRW wheat basis for Tuesday is at 40 cents under the September futures, 2 cents weaker than Monday's basis.

HARD RED WINTER WHEAT:

The national average HRW wheat basis for Tuesday is at 18 cents under the Kansas City September futures, unchanged from Monday's basis.

HARD RED SPRING WHEAT:

The national average HRS wheat basis for Tuesday is at 20 cents under the Minneapolis September futures, 2 cents stronger than Monday's basis.
