Editor's Note:

It's with great sadness that we report DTN Executive Editor Marcia Taylor passed away Feb. 19, following the return of an illness. Her excellent commentary and advice will remain here for a time.

Marcia had friends and colleagues throughout agriculture, so we will post information about funeral and memorial services in this space when we get them.

More information on her legendary career can be found here: http://bit.ly/…

So sad to think that Marcia has left us. Agriculture will surely miss this wonderful, thoughtful lady. She taught so many of us so much! --Karen McMillan McCary

My wife and I were stunned last evening when we learned of Marcia's passing. Its been only a little over 100 days that since we saw Marcia in full action leading the DTN AG Summit. Her upbeat positive happy personality will be dearly missed. Marcia became one of my dear friends in my business network. Marcia worked the ABA Ag Lenders Conference- this past year we were in Indianapolis. We so enjoyed visiting about many ag issues. I am sure when we parted both the ABA Conference and the DTN AG Summit we said"well, see you next year". My wife Lea, also connected with Marcia on a variety of life items, other than ag. We both had tears last evening reading the news of her passing. Marcia we will miss you. Rest in peace.
