Spot Ethanol Prices Book Profits Ahead of Supply Reports
Spot ethanol prices moved mostly lower in thin trade early Monday as traders positioned themselves ahead of the latest federal data on supply and demand due for release later this week.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture will release its monthly corn report Thursday while the Energy Information Administration is scheduled to update weekly changes in U.S. ethanol supply and demand Wednesday.
Argo ethanol spot prices were talked in a $2.50 to $2.54 gal bid/ask range, while New York Harbor spot ethanol were seen in a $2.63 to $2.65 gallon spread, down 2.5 cents and 3.0 cents, respectively.
