Cash Ethanol Tumbles with CBOT Corn after USDA Report
Spot ethanol prices fell 3 cents to 4 cents at Argo and the New York Harbor, respectively, pressured by lower Chicago Board of Trade corn futures after the U.S. Department of Agriculture earlier left unchanged its domestic corn stock estimate at 647 million bushels.
A trader said December USDA reports are traditionally non-eventful, so participants are looking ahead to the corn report due out in January as well as weekly ethanol supply report due out tomorrow.
