(AP) -- Liberals are digging in for a long battle against Donald Trump.
But there's no single focus of resistance. Ideas for national protests are multiplying after last week's successful women's march and Saturday's demonstrations at airports against Trump's refugee order.
People are starting groups to target vulnerable House Republicans or win back governors' mansions and state legislatures.
Some are pushing for local laws protecting immigrants. Others are donating to liberal groups or lobbying their local congressional leaders.
The biggest test of the opposition's muscle will come in elections starting this year. Liberal groups are already being inundated with new candidates and trying to create a cultural change on the left of focusing on down-ballot races rather than just the presidency.
