Feed Cube Recall

Purina has recalled a specific lot of feed cube, which may be connected to cattle deaths in Florida.

Cattle producers should not feed lot 8DEC22MUL2 of Producer's Pride cattle cube. Purina, maker of the cube issued a voluntary market recall after cattle deaths the company says are "potentially associated with the product".

These bags of cube were sold at 39 Tractor Supply Company locations in Florida, under the name "Producer's Pride 20% All Natural Cattle Cube". Tractor Supply issued a stop sale and quarantined any remaining product in stores. Customers who purchased the cube should discard it, or return it to their local Tractor Supply store for an exchange or refund.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services have reported no specific cause for what they characterize as "acute" multiple deaths, but note there may be a connection to the cube.

Purina reports about 1,500 bags of the cube were produced December 22, 2018. The lot number, noted above, can be found in the sewing strip of each bag.
