Iowa Corn Condition Rating Drops 10 Points to 59% Good to Excellent

OMAHA (DTN) -- U.S. corn condition was rated 69% good to excellent, down from 71% the previous week, and soybean condition was rated 72% good to excellent as of Sunday, Aug. 16, down from 74% the previous week, according to this week's USDA NASS Crop Progress report. Top corn-producer Iowa's corn condition rating dropped 10 percentage points to 59% good to excellent.

Corn in the dough stage was 76%, and corn dented was 23%. Soybeans were 96% blooming and 84% setting pods. Winter wheat harvest was 93% complete.
