Inflation, the Loonie and Interest Rates on the Move

It didn't take the loonie long to gain back what it had lost previously, as it is currently fluttering over the $.80 U.S. mark. (DTN file photo)
Statistics Canada reported that Canada's gross domestic product increased by 1.1% between March and June. It means that the economy is growing rapidly and with a rapidly growing economy it's tough to contain inflation.
