Brazil Rain Concerns, Favorable Argentina Conditions
OMAHA (DTN) -- Heavy rains affecting soybean transport in Brazil, favorable conditions in Argentina and continued dryness for the southwestern Plains, are the key weather items for the commodity trade's attention Wednesday.
WESTERN MIDWEST MOVES TO DRIER TREND
The DTN ag weather forecast calls for dry or only a little light precipitation Wednesday for the western Midwest, and a mostly dry trend Thursday until Sunday, with cooler weather. A drier pattern is expected in the 10-day forecast with variable temperatures.
LINGERING RAIN IN EASTERN MIDWEST
Rain may linger Wednesday in north and southeast areas in the eastern Midwest, with scattered light showers with locally heavier amounts returning Monday. Above-normal precipitation is seen in the 10-day outlook for the Eastern Corn Belt.

CONTINUED SOUTHERN PLAINS DRYNESS
In the Southern Plains, mostly dry conditions are expected from Wednesday through Friday, then only a few light showers Saturday. Otherwise, it's a mainly dry period from Sunday and into the extended outlook period next week for the winter wheat area. Today there are significant wildfire concerns and red flag warnings in Kansas and southern Nebraska because of dryness and wind issues.
MILDER NORTHERN PLAINS TREND
While snow and blowing snow will cause some transportation issues in some areas of North Dakota on Wednesday, generally there is no significant weather to affect transport or increase stress to livestock during the next five to seven days in the Northern Plains.
RAIN DISRUPTS BRAZIL TRANSPORT
Brazil's primary crop areas continue to see generally favorable conditions for harvesting soybeans and planting corn in central Brazil and for filling soybeans in southern Brazil. However, rains in the forecast this week will disrupt soybean harvest and lead to extensive disruptions and delays in the transport of harvested soybeans to export ports.
FAVORABLE ARGENTINA CONDITIONS
Favorable conditions continue for developing and filling corn and soybeans in the major growing areas of central Argentina. There has been some improvement in rainfall in the double-crop soybean areas in the south.
