OMAHA (DTN) -- A mainly favorable weather pattern continuing for the Midwest and adverse weather conditions in Europe and other countries affecting the corn and wheat crops are the key weather items for the commodity trade's attention Monday.

MODERATE MIDWEST TEMPERATURES

The DTN ag weather forecast calls for favorable conditions for pollinating and filling corn and developing and filling soybeans with moderate temperatures and adequate moisture conditions.

MODERATE TO HEAVY SHOWERS IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PLAINS

In the Central and Southern Plains, moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms and more moderate temperatures ease stress to corn and soybeans.

FAVORABLE NORTHERN PLAINS CONDITIONS

The Northern Plains expects to see favorable conditions for developing corn and soybeans with adequate soil moisture and moderate temperatures. There will be favorable weather for maturing and harvesting spring wheat.

LIMITED RAIN FOR CANADIAN PRAIRIES

Limited rainfall and variable temperatures in the Canadian Prairies stresses filling wheat and canola, especially in southwest and south-central areas.

SOME SHOWERS FOR EUROPEAN CROPS

Scattered light to locally moderate showers along with lower temperatures ease crop stress. However, significant losses to wheat production have already occurred with some losses to corn also expected.

VARIABLE CONDITIONS IN NORTH CHINA

In northeastern China, more rain would benefit the main corn areas in the south. There are more favorable conditions in the main soybean areas in the north.

SOME BENEFICIAL WEEKEND SHOWERS IN CENTRAL CHINA

In central China, there were some beneficial showers and thunderstorms during the weekend. Temperatures remain high. Some stress to crops have been reported.

DRIER OUTLOOK FOR WEST-CENTRAL INDIA

Monsoon rains are now mostly in the north in India. The main oilseed areas of west-central India have adequate soil moisture at this time, but will be on the drier side during the next seven to 10 days.
