Crop Progress: 14% of Corn, 8% of Soybeans Planted Week Ended May 1

OMAHA (DTN) -- U.S. corn planting was 14%, and soybean planting was 8% complete as of Sunday, May 1, USDA reported in its weekly Crop Progress report released Monday.

Twenty-three percent of U.S. winter wheat was headed, compared to a five-year average of 29%. Winter wheat condition held steady at 27% good to excellent.
